Our commitment to personal growth, mentoring, training and shared experience has allowed us to build a staff that is committed to our core principles of client collaboration and tangible results. Nearly all of our people have more than 15 years of experience in the field.
As our company has grown, we have applied our experience in planning, designing and building systems to the development of focused practices in Healthcare, Unemployment Insurance, Human Services, Independent Verification and Validation and Project Management Solutions.. Through these practices, our most experienced and seasoned professionals help our clients’ senior management teams apply best practices and independent oversight to high-risk projects.
Leadership Team
John Walsworth, Chief Executive Officer
John is the founder of CSG and has led our team throughout our history of growth. During his 30 years in Information Technology consulting, John has developed a no-nonsense style and team-oriented approach that attracts and motivates people who are dedicated to the successful delivery of high-impact solutions. John has consulted with dozens of clients on the development and implementation of Information Technology strategies. He has a reputation for building strong teams and successfully managing large engagements. John has a B.A. in Mathematics and History from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
Tim Lenning, Executive Vice-President, Managing Director
Tim leads our public sector practice groups, delivering a wide range of technology planning and management solutions for state, local, and federal government agencies throughout the U.S. With over 20 years of experience in planning and managing public sector IT projects, Tim is known for his total dedication to our clients’ success. He has a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Chicago.
Mike Cooney, Chief Operating Officer
Mike is responsible for building our solution delivery teams and ensuring that our company continues to deliver the highest-quality services to our clients. Mike has been with CSG since our inception, and has a long career in consulting with both public and private-sector clients. He received a Masters in Computer Science from DePaul University.
Andrea Danes, Director, Healthcare Practice
Andrea is a Senior Principal with CSG with twenty years of experience in government programs, healthcare, and information systems. She functions as a healthcare expert focusing on integrated service delivery for human services and healthcare information exchange. Andrea is an executive level health care professional with both public and private enterprise experience. Andrea received her B.A. from the University of Illinois.
Ann Fish, Director, CSG Tech
Ann is a Senior Principal with CSG and leads our CSG Tech research and development unit, delivering state-of-the art tools and knowledge that support the delivery of leading-edge solutions for our public sector clients. She has twenty years of experience in all aspects of planning and building complex information systems. She has a B.S. from Northern Illinois University.
Jim Mahony, Director, Unemployment Insurance Practice
Jim is a Senior Principal with CSG and has worked in the Workforce Development and information technology fields since 1996. He has worked with many state workforce agencies and has deep experience in Unemployment Insurance, Workforce Development and the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) and Children and Youth Services. Jim received his B.A. from the University of Notre Dame.
Deneen Omer, Director, IV&V and Quality Management Practice
Deneen leads our largest healthcare systems projects, dealing with all aspects of project management, compliance, and architectures. She has thirty years of public sector management experience including serving as the Chief Information Officer for the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services. Deneen is a PMI certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and she holds a B.A. and an M.A. from the University of Illinois at Springfield.
Tim Saar, Vice-President, Technology
Tim is responsible for the continued growth of CSG’s nationally-known technology capabilities in support of our client solutions. He has 25 years of experience in all aspects of information technology architectures and tools. Tim has consulted with hundreds of clients in strategic planning, application architectures, and system development approaches on all mainstream business application platforms. Tim received a B.S. in Computer Science from Concordia University.
Andrew Sutter, Director, Project Delivery and Staff Development
Andrew is a Senior Principal with CSG and leads our Project Management Office, providing oversight and support for all project delivery activities. He has twenty years of experience in managing large application development and infrastructure projects in both the public and private sectors. Andrew is a PMI certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and has a B.A. in Mathematics from Illinois State University.
