Leadership Team

John Walsworth, Chief Executive Officer
John is the founder of CSG and has led our team throughout our history of growth. During his 30 years in information technology consulting, John has developed a no-nonsense style and team-oriented approach that attract and motivate people who are dedicated to the successful delivery of high-impact solutions. John has consulted with dozens of clients on the development and implementation of information technology strategies. He has a reputation for building strong teams and successfully managing large engagements. John has a BA in mathematics and history from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
Tim Lenning, Executive Vice President, Managing Director
Tim leads our public sector practice groups, delivering a wide range of program modernization solutions for state, local, and federal government agencies throughout the U.S. With over 20 years of experience in planning and managing public sector program modernization projects, Tim is known for his total dedication to our clients’ success. He has an MBA from the University of Chicago.
Mike Cooney, Chief Operating Officer
Mike is responsible for building our solution delivery teams and ensuring that our company continues to provide the highest quality services to our clients. Mike has been with CSG since our inception, and has a long career consulting with both public and private sector clients. He has an MS in computer science from DePaul University.
Andrea Danes, Director, Healthcare and Human Services Practice
Andrea is a Vice President with CSG with 20 years of experience in innovative government program modernization, focused on healthcare, human services, and integrated service delivery. She is a recognized healthcare and human services expert and is an active leader in national industry groups and forums. Andrea received her BA from the University of Illinois.
Ann Fish, Director, CSG Tech
Ann is a Vice President with CSG and leads our CSG Tech research and development unit, delivering state-of-the art tools and knowledge that support the delivery of leading-edge solutions for our public sector clients. She has 20 years of experience in all aspects of planning and building complex information systems. She has a BS from Northern Illinois University.
Patti Garofalo, Director, Project Assurance Services Practice
Patti is a Senior Principal with CSG and leads our Project Assurance Services practice, focused on helping state governments manage complex program modernization projects. Over her 20 year career, she has managed many large system implementation projects in both the private and public sectors. Patti is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt and PMI certified Project Management Professional. She has a BS in information technology from American Intercontinental University.
Jim Mahony, Director, Unemployment Insurance Practice
Jim is a Vice President with CSG and has worked in unemployment insurance and workforce development program modernization since 1996. He has worked with many state labor and workforce agencies and has deep experience in unemployment insurance, workforce development, the Workforce Investment Act (WIA), and children and youth services. Jim received his BA from the University of Notre Dame.
Deneen Omer, Senior Strategic Adviser
Deneen is a Vice President with CSG and a strategic adviser to our Healthcare and Human Services and Project Assurance Services practices. She has 30 years of public sector program modernization experience including serving as the Chief Information Officer for the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services. Deneen is a PMI certified Project Management Professional and has an MA in computer science from the University of Illinois at Springfield.
Tim Saar, Vice President, Technology
Tim is responsible for the continued growth of CSG’s nationally-known technology capabilities in support of our client solutions. He has 25 years of experience in all aspects of information technology architectures and tools. Tim has consulted with hundreds of clients in strategic planning, enterprise architectures, and system design and development approaches on all mainstream business application platforms. Tim received a BS in computer science from Concordia University.
Andrew Sutter, Director, Project Delivery
Andrew is a Senior Principal with CSG and leads our Project Management Office, providing oversight and support for all project delivery activities. He has 20 years of experience in managing large application development and infrastructure projects in both the public and private sectors. Andrew is a PMI certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and has a BA in mathematics from Illinois State University.
Kirk Swanson, Chief Financial Officer
Kirk is responsible for CSG’s internal controls, corporate finance, and risk management. He has over 20 years of experience in a broad range of accounting and financial management positions, having worked in public accounting, large consumer products companies, and mid-size technology firms. Kirk is a Certified Public Accountant and received his MBA from the University of Chicago.
