Andrea Danes and Sheila Cooper Offer Insights on HIX and ICD-10 at the Workgroup for Electronic Data Interchange (WEDI) National Conference

Two of CSG Government Solution’s healthcare practice leaders were featured speakers at the 21st Annual WEDI National Conference held recently in Tampa, Florida.
Andrea Danes participated on the panel presenting “Cracking the ICD-10 Code – An Insider’s Look at Mapping, Lessons from the Process, and Looking Ahead to 2012 & 2013,” and served as the facilitator for several other ICD-10 sessions. Andrea serves as the WEDI ICD-10 Education Co-Chair.
Sheila Cooper presented “HIX: Planning for Uncertainty.” Sheila reviewed federal requirements, reported on states’ current activities, and examined how the implementation of a HIX will impact segments of the healthcare industry.
WEDI brings together a consortium of leaders within the healthcare industry to identify practical strategies for reducing administrative costs in healthcare through the implementation of EDI. WEDI provides a broad-based interactive forum for healthcare executives, managers, and advisers to utilize in addressing the business issues and policy formulation critical to their industry.
