Columbus, Ohio – December 24, 2008

CSG hosted a “2008 Holiday Event” on December 10 at the Columbus Residence Inn to benefit the Mid-Ohio Foodbank. Attendees at the event contributed over $1,000 in cash and food donations for the Foodbank.

The Mid-Ohio Foodbank provides food relief for struggling families and elderly residents in Columbus and the surrounding region. Their work brings critical assistance to thousands of hungry people each day. Matt Habash, President and CEO of the Mid-Ohio Foodbank, thanked contributors, saying, “For many families struggling to get by, your help is critical. While the people you have helped with your donation may never get the chance to thank you personally, I want you to know all the good you have done for many in our community.”

The Foodbank is a member of Feeding America, the nation’s largest non-governmental domestic hunger relief organization. CSG has worked with Feeding America and the Illinois Department of Human Services in using web technology to provide speedy short-term Food Stamp assistance to Illinois families.
